I am lucky enough to be involved in an
Ontario College of Art and Design Thesis film project created by Integrated media students Michael Fong and Kat Klein. Its currently untitled, but I can tell you that I play a woman with a serious case of OCD that becomes fixated on making the perfect dollhouse. We shot two days last weekend in the basement apartment location and will shoot one pick-up day this weekend and a day in
The Little Dollhouse Company next week. The shooting so far has been super-fun. The crew is great to work with, and the material is so much fun to play with. Mike and Kat even made sure there was food and craft that I could eat on set by using recipes from my
Gluten/Dairy Freedom blog! I was super-impressed, and incredibly touched that they would go so far to be sure I felt taken care of! Here are some pics from set:
| "You better not be un-straightening my carpet fringe! Please don't touch that, or sit there, or come near me. You should probably just leave" |
| Inside the dollhouse was the most amazing collection of miniature Tolkien books! |
| The kitchen of the dollhouse (before I destroy it..you gotta watch the movie!) |
| The bedroom of the dollhouse with a fully functional mini dresser with drawers |
| ...Frame, ..Action. CUT! Vic, get off your phone!!! "Its for the scene I swear!" |
What a fun shoot! I can't wait to do it again, and get closer to seeing the final product. There will be a screening in the Spring for the OCAD thesis films, location TBA...
