Radio Wild Fundraiser @ Winchester

Here's a pic from the last Radio Wild Fundraiser that I hosted @ The Winchester in support of Wildcard Pictures.  I'm doing my best to channel a 1920's radio star...with a few more sparkles!  Happy day-before-the-weekend everyone!  Cheers!

@ActorsRepCo Presents BEA (DISCOUNT CODE @ End of Post...)

Bea, presented by the Actors Repertory Company @ Factory Theatre, is a thoroughly enjoyable theatrical experience.  Fuelled by stylized glimpses into the character's pure love for life, and fleeting moments of utter bliss, this supremely talented and engaging cast of three energetically guide us through the pain of terminal illness.  And to be brutally honest, the company has not been receiving the audience numbers they deserve!  So in the hopes that more people can share in this beautiful story, I have been given permission to share a considerably generous discount code with you!  Simply go to the box office on any show day, and say the code: "TELL 5" to receive a $5 ticket!  GO!  You will thank yourself!
Bea - Until May 26, Factory Theatre Studio, 125 Bathurst St, Toronto.

Should Be Theatre's "John & Beatrice"

Experiencing this performance messed me up a bit - not gonna lie.  The story of bounty hunter John answering an add to interest and seduce bored "heiress" "Beatrice" unravels in a 90 minute journey of raw introspection about the nature of long-term relationships.  At times tense, touching and bursting with electricity, actors Hallie Burt and David Simor take no prisoners as they pull the audience along this bumpy and exhillerating ride - expertly directed by Grainne O'Flynn.  If you're anything like me, you'll want to spend some time after the show shaking off the emotional dust - nothing like a little artistic spring-cleaning of the heart!
John & Beatrice - Until May 18th, Theatre Passe Muraille Backspace, $20 (PWYC Wed) FB EVENT

@FBNTheatre Much Ado Closes Tonight!

Last night, I had the pleasure of taking in Fly By Night Theatre's production of Much Ado About Nothing @ YPT.  I also enjoyed a comforting nostalgia sitting in the studio I used to take classes in as a youth Young People's Theatre.  Much Ado's talented and energetic cast performed seamlessly as an ensemble; not a beat was dropped, and not a joke was missed by the large and lucky audience.  Incorporating modern elements like iPhones, Canadiana, politics and even Leafs references were a testament to acute, detailed direction.  Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this production, and you can too!
Much Ado About Nothing - TONIGHT, 8pm, Young People's Theatre Studio, 165 Front St E. Toronto.  $18/$20  (FB EVENT)
